Match report Walthamstow won the toss and sensibly decided to bat on a rather gloomy evening. No rain had materialised during the afternoon but the outfield at Nutter lane was still much longer than usual and very slow. Unfortunately, the Walthamstow openers were unable to cope with the pace of Shari and Rahib and found scoring difficult. Whatever relief they may have felt at seeing them bowled out was quickly overshadowed by Inquy's 4 wickets in 2 overs, shortly followed by the end of the innings at 40. Wanstead lost rather too many wicket in chasing down this modest total, Feroze losing the length of the ball that bowled him and the others playing slightly lazy shots in the increasing darkness. The third round is likely to be against Fives and they will prove much tougher opponents.
