Match report This was the latest Haydn Davis qualifying game. We have now won 4 from 4 with 1 to play.

It was cold, wet and horrible at Overton this morning. The ball was like a bar of soap and after only 4 overs, we had an unprompted "everyone put jumpers on" break.

However, to keep the blood moving, we scrapped our way to 169 off 20 overs. It is a high score, but felt like it should have been higher.

In these conditions, the trick was to open with the spinners, and keep all the pace off the ball while defending the boundaries. This tactic worked fine, and Upminster got to 125 in their 20 overs.

Our final qualifying game is next weekend.
