Match report At fairlop tonight v Bancroft Lions, who are a very good side with several County and District representative players. The games are 20 overs a side now it is a (bit) lighter. The sunshine and the hard dusty outfield were deceptive, as the track was as slow as it is possible to be. However, we won the toss, batted first and got 125-2 against a good attack, putting on 70 for the first wicket. Once again we accelerated nicely in the final five overs. The cautious parents (and manager) wondered if this would be enough?

It was. Bowler after bowler pitched it up and bowled straight. Wickets fell quickly. We had sharp fielding as well; two direct hit run outs, a couple of catches, and a sharp stumping. Great stuff. This squad is really rather good....a convincing win, and everyone got involved at some stage either with the ball or bat.
