Herons’ legend, left arm spinner Md Fayyaz Khan flew out to Sydney this weekend to represent England Over 50s in the inaugural Over-50s Cricket World Cup in Australia. Joining England Over 50s will be 7 other International teams; Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Wales, Canada & Pakistan. Each team will play each other once in a round-robin series. Following the completion of this stage, the top 4 teams will play semi-finals culminating in a Grand Final on Wednesday 5 December 2018 for the 50s Cricket World Cup. England Over 50s are also playing against Australia in three ODI’s. Fazzaz has told us that he will keep us all updated on his exploits in the 3 match Test series Down Under, so watch this space for updates.
