On Tuesday, 11th August, the Slow Coaches, led by Joe Palmer Snr played a game against a team of NHS doctors and administrators – the match ending in a tie! During the game Martin Pluck, Chairman of Wanstead & Snaresbrook CC, presented a cheque for £2,610 to Dr Philip Bennett-Richards. This was the money raised when we held the Virtual Race Night during lockdown. Thanks again to members for their generosity.
