Update from your Chairman – Staying safe and quarantining

14 Aug 2020

Dear members,

It is wonderful to have cricket activity and I would like to thank everyone – captains, junior managers and members – for making this possible. It has been a fantastic effort.

However even with restrictions easing a little it is important we remain vigilant and we must continue to follow all government guidelines and not get complacent particularly with regard to social distancing measure. I would ask members to remember the following:

  • If you feel unwell, please DO NOT visit the club
  • Please bring your own hand sanitiser and also continue to use the hand sanitisers at the club. Also wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds.
  • When playing, training or socialising outside, please continue to maintain social distance of 2 metres from anyone NOT in your household or support bubble.
  • Please observe the One In One Out policy when going to the bar

We understand that these continue to be difficult and frustrating times. But we MUST continue working hard to keep everyone safe and stop the spread. If the entire community work together we can get through these tough times.

Returning from abroad

The government has put in place regulations for anyone returning from certain countries. This may mean that you need to self-isolate when returning. We hope that all members will respect this request and if returning from any of the named countries, will self-isolate and not visit the club for the entirety of their isolation period. Members who are known to be returning from any of these countries will not be selected for any matches.

Full details on quarantine requirements and exempt countries can be found at following link: Travel Restrictions

We trust that everyone will continue to do the right thing.

Thank you

Martin
