The London Marathon Charitable Trust, who provided the club with a significant grant for the new nets, are giving the opportunity to grantees to apply for one of 40 places in the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon as part of their #LMCT40 campaign to celebrate their 40th Anniversary.
Taking place on Sunday 3 October, the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon will be the world’s biggest ever marathon, with 50,000 people taking on the traditional route from Blackheath to The Mall and another 50,000 participating in the virtual event, running 26.2 miles on the course of their choice anywhere in the world. Successful applicants must write a submission about how they and the club will use the place to inspire activity, reflecting The Trust’s vision of a society in which everyone is physically active, contributing to their health and wellbeing. If you want some guidance before writing your submission please have a word with Len Enoch.
Only one application can be made per organisation, so if you wish to be the club’s applicant please send your submission to Len at lgenoch43@gmail.com by 31st March 2021. You must be 18 years or older on the event day (Sunday 3 October 2021). All successful applicants will be provided with support and guidance, including help on setting up any fundraising pages, training advice and guidance and support groups.
