Match report Skip won the toss and decided to field first after having batted first in all previous games. Tactical move maybe? We were determined to win this time after having lost to them in the final last year!

The ladies bowled superbly, especially Dipti who took 2 wickets and a great catch to remove 3 of their top order batsman. We managed to restrict Harold Wood to less than 10 an over and they got 95-4 after 10 overs.

A decent total to chase but knowing that the opposition had all county level players, we knew their bowling and fielding would be tight.

Neha was run out on the first ball of the innings, however Saba and Dipti made a good partnership keeping the run rate at 12 an over. We were on 49 after 4 overs! Skip then retired and in came Natasha who got run out after making 1. Young Nafeesa came in and scored easily, sneaking in runs everywhere before Dipti was also retired after hitting a wonderful six!

Ayesha supported Nafeesa well and both kept the run rate going, never falling below 10 an over. Ayesha was then run out allowing Skip to come back when we were on 79-3 after 7 overs. Needing 17 runs off last 3 overs, both Saba and Nafeesa made light work of the situation and finished the game within 9 overs!

An excellent win over a good team so well done all!

The ladies also celebrated Tashy B's birthday by eating cake in the indoor centre! Now there's a good present and a double celebration!
