Match report Wanstead won the toss and elected to bat, deciding it was harder to chase on a Nutter Lane wicket. It took two balls to dismiss Burgess for 0 which brought Hutchings to the crease. He batted beautifuly along with Saleemi giving Wanstead 120 of 17 overs, a fiery total considering the start. Hutchings was eventually dismissed for a valuable 67 and Saleemi was out soon after with a great knock of 70. Waqar came to the crease and did what was needed, he scored a quick 44 hitting the ball out of the ground and gave Wanstead an end total of 248 for 8, a very good target to defend.

The first ball of Buckhurst Hills' innings was a wicket bowled by Rahman which sent the stumps flying. He bowled well for 19-1 of 5 overs, as did Chaudhri whose swing proved to much for their batsmen. Patel picked up a wicket with Ellis-Grewal bowling wonderfully at the other end, his turn and bounce was unplayable and his figures were 13-5 of 7 overs. Rathakrishnan also bowled well picking up 18-2, bowling Buckhurst Hill out for 101.

A great result for Wanstead who bowled over a team challanging for the top two positions and has put Wanstead in a commanding place in the table, with a hard game next week.
