Victories yesterday by the 1st XI and 2nd XI meant that they are champions of their respective Leagues, the 1st XI Premier Division and the 2nd XI Premier Division.
The 1st XI were short of a number of players because of Jonny Das’s wedding celebrations in Portugal but still recorded a remarkable victory over Chingford CC by 27 runs due to the performances of a number of juniors. Man of the match was fifteen-year-old Ali Zeb with 52 runs and 4 wickets.
The 2nd XI recovered from 123-8 to score 224 due to a century 9th wicket partnership between Jack Lord (81NO) and Tom Wright (27) and then bowled out Harold Wood CC 2nd XI for 143.
