Four pairs competed and knocked seven bells out of each other, the quality of play becoming more and more random as the evening progressed (wonder why? - Ed).
Henry Chambers, paired with Rakesh Patel and in the form of his life, thrashed Nigel Baldwin and Adnan Akram.
Steve Baldwin also thrashed his father, in tandem with Mahesh Velani, and this pair eventually won the evening's sport.
