Match report We had a great victory on Saturday against a dogged Leigh on sea outfit. Our bowlers all bowled extremely well with good lengths and tight lines. Leigh batsmen were very watchful but we eked them out one by one. Joel started the match by bowling their opener first ball with a ripper. Young Sameem bowled very well and picked up 4 wickets with Joel and Barney picking up two apiece, Barney trapping their best batsman with a back of the hand slower ball which he played four shots at before missing right in front. We finally got the last man out at 119 off 50 overs. (Spectators well asleep by then). We batted positively with me and Barney sharing a 90 run opening partnership with Barney getting his 3rd half century in four games. The partnership included 2 run fives to the long boundary. After a mini collapse of four wickets Asif and Spike saw us home with an hour to spare. With Gidea Park and Romford losing to Chelmsford, this leaves us top of the table and all to play for with away ties at both those teams to come.
