Match report Ten wanstead U13 players visited South Woodford. We lost the toss and were put in the field. Rowan and Hussain opened the attack. Today we had nine bowlers, a number of players who have never bowled outside before. But they stepped up to the mark and gave 100% Well done. Sadly, the extras became the top scorer and South Woodford posted a score of 126 for 7. Today the extras proved to be the difference between the two teams as well as only playing with ten, meant the Boys although for 13 overs were ahead of the run rate lost momentum. The team lost but played well in the spirit of Wanstead Cricket. Today the team was led by Joe Bowles and I would like to say well done, aslo well done to the vice captain Rowan. Rowan's cricket knowledge was put to great use by Joe. Well done Wanstead!
