Match report Wanstead won the toss and elected to bat first. A slow start from Wanstead and some tight bowling from Chelmsford resulted in the wicket of Saleemi for 8 bringing Hutchings to the crease. Hutchings batted beautifuly for 69 before being caught building a partnership worth 160 runs with Burgess. Popal hit 28 not out of 23 balls with Burgess finishing with 109 also not out. The total to defend was 237 which was a good score against tight bowling and a defensive field.

Chaudhri bowled beautifuly opening up swinging the ball away ending up with 3-34 of 7 overs with Popal picking up 1-14. The spinners were then handed the ball, and great bowling from Ellis-Grewal ensured him 2-21 of 8 overs and Patel picked up 2-11 of 7 overs with turn and bounce which troubled the batsmen. Chelmsford never looked capable to chase 237 and eventually of the last ball finished on 134.
