PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE TO ALL JUNIORS, YEAR 8 AND OLDER
hi everyone, looking forward to new season.
From school year 8 (u/13's) you are eligible to join our 'Young Herons' who help the club in many important ways including promotional and research events. Helping as a support coach is very popular and helpful. Your club could not get through so much coaching without the support of our young coaches. Always school work is a priority. Subject to this many junior members find coaching , under the supervision of an experience club coach, both satisfying and an opportunity to learn additional inter- personal skills, it certainly helps the development of cricket skills. The support earns units for Duke of Edinburgh awards which can be organised through your school or direct if your school is not on the scheme.
Your club is also very happy to include volunteer coaching on school and employment personal statements and commendations.
So that we can allocate junior coaches to experienced club coaches, PLEASE could you reply to this email (preferably through your parents ) with the following information
1. Let me know if you are continuing your role as a young coach (some of our coaches should now join the older age groups to develop their coaching experience)
2. if you are an u/8 and would like more information, please let me know, there is NO OBLIGATION in expressing an interested
