David Waters (our man on the ground) has just returned to Kenya after a short trip to the UK, where he managed to catch up with Arfan Akram (Wanstead CC Club Captain).
The East Africa Character Development Trust (EACDT) are now in a position to start the work on the library having had two quotes for the work. The school is very keen to get things moving and Arfan will be able to visit the Library in November and report on how it is being used.
Today, Scott transferred funds from the amazing donations, which we have collected, over to the charity. This will cover the renovation work, purchase of chairs and a basic computer for the library cataloguing and librarian functions.
David and the EACDT will send us photos of the work in progress and an update report when it’s all complete.
